Message from Pastor Edson P. Sanecki

A Brief History of Mount Zion Community Church Winnipeg
Mount Zion C.C. started in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1998 with Pastors Edson P. Sanecki and Darrel Nelson. Between Pastor Nelson and myself we have over 40 years of combined ministry experience. Our vision was to be a church that would be Bible-centered, evangelistic and be missionary minded. At Mount Zion C.C. we believe that everybody should get a second chance and hear the gospel message. we are the church of the second chance.

Being faithful to what God placed on our hearts, we reached out into the community and ministered to the lost, the broken-hearted and people who were often neglected and overlooked by society. This was our calling, our ministry and mission for the city of Winnipeg. Mount Zion was a church plant in the downtown inner city of Winnipeg and it was a mission field. it was our mission field; a small part of the vineyard that the Lord entrusted to us. Mount Zion was a miracle in progress and survived by the faith and the prayers of the saints.

Mount Zion C.C. was also a training center for ministry. We taught the Bible—the whole Bible—and we preached it book by book and verse by verse. This method of expository teaching caused our congregation to grow strong in the knowledge and application of the Bible in their daily lives. The church was started by our Bible studies. People were drawn to the openness and friendly atmosphere in our fellowship. As the Bible study grew, they became the core group for the formation of Mount Zion C.C.

 Mount Zion Community Church Moved
Presently Mount Zion C.C. has its office located in Welland, Ontario. The Board of Mount Zion C. C. decided to relocate and continue ministry in Welland, Ontario.

Under the covering of Mount Zion C.C. we are now known as Mount Zion Gospel Ministries.  Our ministry is doing more Bible teaching and ministry training than before. Mount Zion Gospel Ministries is engaged in evangelism and is working through local churches in Canada and other ministries. Mount Zion Gospel Ministries is also engaged in serving internationally, developing countries being the priority. Recognizing the need in developing countries, we reach out in ministry to train future leaders in India, the Philippines and Brazil. Other countries are being added as the Lord opens the way. As the Lord provides the funds, we go to developing countries and do pastoral training and doctrinal studies and seminars free of charge.

Romans 10:14-15, King James Version (KJV)

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
